Tom and Sarah were married in South London at intimate ceremony in Decemeber. The day began at Southwark Town Hall followed by lunch and lots of dancing at the beautiful redbrick South London Gallery. As the gallery is just moments from their home they were keen to incorporate the striking local architecture in their invite. I hand painted the invitations using a wintery colour palette that emphasised the warmth of the redbrick, the flurry of snow adds to the magical feeling of their day. I love the velvety dark green background of the invitation as it allows the hand painted garland and text to really stand out!
Tom and Sarah had to date long distance (Kansas city - London) when they first met and wrote to each other an awful lot, I decided to hand letter the invitation as this helped to keep their playful wording really personal. I also made a postcard for each guest to draw or write on, this was in place of a guestbook, people had a lot of fun with these!
